Our kitchen and table utensils are made from the root of the teak tree – a byproduct of the teak wood industry. The wood comes from certified plantations in Indonesia and is handcrafted in a small workshop in East Java. This way, we support local communities and protect nature.

All kitchen utensils made from recycled teak wood (teak root) are food-safe. For optimal use, please observe the following care instructions:

Before first use:

• Wash with warm water and mild dish soap, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
• Repeat this process for daily cleaning.

Important notes:

• Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave and do not soak.
• To protect the wood and maintain its beauty, occasionally apply food-safe oil with a brush or cloth.
• If the product becomes rough or discolored, it can be sanded and then re-treated with food-safe oil.
